Why Is It That Some People In MLM Are More Successful Than Others?

Seriously, think about that for a second. Why is it that some people in MLM are more successful than others? Why is it that some people are just more successful in general?


Is it luck? Is it circumstance? Or is it pure will and hard work? More importantly can you be successful?We all have equal opportunity and same (more or less or in comparison to other successful people in your company) products to promote. Why do people make a killing while other struggle?

At first glance, it may appear that luck, hard work or circumstance played a role…

However, this is an illusion. Don’t get me wrong, hard work is a part of being successful but it has to be ‘smart’ and ‘leveraged’ hard work under the correct knowledge to produce the results that you are after. Hard work by itself does not necessary lead to the success you are after.

What about luck or circumstance? Well they may exist. However, this is RARELY the case when it comes to successful MLM leaders.

How do I know? Well I work with few on a daily basis and I can tell you there is a major difference in the way they think, act and behave compared to the average network marketer… and average person for that matter.

I can tell you that they do not rely on luck or circumstance.

They have developed habits and ‘successful’ ways of thinking as well as skills that allows them to earn high incomes and create lifestyles most dream or hope off.

You are probably asking this then:

What is the success mindset that MLM Leaders follow?

Here are some:

  • They believe that nothing is impossible. They can achieve ANYTHING they set their mind to.
  • They have an intense desire to create what they want and specific reasons on why they want it. No it is not that they just want money. What does money bring you?
  • They act in faith that what they will have want they want.
  • They focus on the solution and courage rather than problems and fear.. which is what most unsuccessful people focus on.
  • They have developed consistent actions that they act on every single day. Action that are proven to generate results.
  • They are aware how thoughts affect their emotions and emotions their thoughts. They are in control of this process and use it to their advantage.
  • They take significant action

The list goes on and on. So if we compare this list to what the average person or network marketer think, it is quite different. And hence dramatic difference in results. It is not luck nor circumstance.

Their thinking attracts everything that will help them in their journey, power of the subconscious mind, I talk about it a little in here .

So what do you need to do to become a successful Network Marketer?

Simply learn and follow from the people that have done it before you. Learn the skills, develop your person, and care about the people.

What are you willing to do to have this?


Let go of being right, be willing to let go of beliefs and principles that no longer serve you and adopt new ones to help you get to where you want.

As a wise man once said (I can’t remember who):

“A massive shift in results is preceded by a massive shift in your beliefs.”

So yes you can be successful.

    John this is an interesting article.

    I’m fascinated with this subject and have spent a lot of time reading and speaking to very successful entrepreneurs.

    I’ve sold a business myself so have had some experience in this. (although not MLM, so can’t comment on that)

    Whilst I like to think that hard work, good idea, etc. play a part in success I also think it’s about the timing, ie the market or idea isn’t saturated and I do think there is small part of luck too. For example I think I was lucky selling my business, especially as I wasn’t looking to sell it.

    I think that to be successful in any business, regardless of what it is is down to so many different factors and having an entrepreneurial spirit is definitely one of them!
