There is one thing that every single MLM leader does to be successful. Without it, I genuinely do not believe that there is any chance of success. Without it, you have no chance of ‘making’ it.
This 1 thing makes all the difference. It is not calling prospects, it is not marketing, it is not prospecting, it is not closing and it is not training other people.
What Is The 1 Thing That Every Successful MLM Leader Does?
Have you guessed what it is yet? It is education! They educate themselves!
Simple huh? How difficult is it to open up a book and read? How difficult is it to listen to an audio in your car? How difficult is it to attend a seminar? How difficult is it to watch a video?
Yet many people don’t do that and expect to be millionaires! To me, I just don’t see how that can happen. Let me say that, that it took me 4 years of education and close to $100,000 if not more to get my engineering degree. Then afterwards you’d be paid anywhere between $50,000 to $120,000 straight out of university, depending on where you choose to work.
Then I go and leave that and people think I’m crazy!
Do you get what I am saying here? We have a massive oppurtunity here. You don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to improve your education and results in your MLM business, but it will take you time and effort!
How important is your business for you and how bad do you want it?
On that note, I’m writing this from the airport as I am traveling to attend a training by the marketing extraordinaire Mark Hoverson and some other surprise internet marketing ‘gurus’.
I am so excited and shall keep you updated on what I learn there!

To Your Success,

Couldn’t agree more. I you could understand that the time it takes to read a book or the cost of a marketing seminar, you get to gain all that persons knowledge that he acquired throughout his lifetime in a short period of time. Education in oneself is a most. “leaders are readers”

Hi, John,
What a wonderful wake up call blog post! Yes, Network Marketing is a massive opportunity!
Then how come so many people are not seeing the opportunity? You are spot on about Education! How can anyone possibly know that Network Marketing is for them if they do not even explore?
Interesting about human nature that I have noticed – people tend to make decisions based on very little information. For example, some may even avoid Network Marketing because they have had bad experiences with it. Another worse case, some heard about people failing in this industry and conclude that this is not going to work for them!
I recommend others to read and get the education from outside their school or university. How about to start with “Think and Grow Rich” by Nepoleon Hill?
Have a Awesome Extraordinary Learning Experience, John.

I agree, John. Education is crucial. I can still remember a Tony Robbins quote that I read years ago from his book, “Awaken the Giant Within,” Kani- Constant and Never ending Improvement….educating and improving yourself daily. Great post.

John, Its all about educating oneself, reading a self improvement book, audio, etc. As in the book the Slight Edge, these are things that are easy to do, and they are also easy not to do. The big question is “WHY” are you doing it. All it takes is a choice!
Ryan Johnson recently posted..How To Write A Blog Post And Google Slap The Competition Part II
Agreed. We all have a choice!
I could not agree more with this. I think self development and education should be top spot in EVERYONE’S life. Not just for business but just for life in general.
I think when people stop wanting to learn they stop growing. Life is all about consistent growth. Your put here on this earth to soak it all up. Your put here to grow into who your meant to be. People are not born a certain way-their life journey and lives lesson and education will mold them into that person.
Fantastic post and not only is it important to your growing biz but for your life also to consistently be seeking out education and self development. Thanks for that reminder John!

Thanks preston.
John you hit it right on the nail with this post, short sweet and straight to the point
Every leader in this industry understands the importance of education and always being a student. In fact, the mark of a leader are these 3 important things: student first, teacher second, servant always.
Have a safe trip home!

John, enjoy your networking event. Ongoing learning is a must for anybody in this business if you want to achieve success. For that matter ongoing learning and skills development is a must for anybody in any profession who wants to get ahead. I have spent close to $5,000 in the past 12 months expanding my skill sets in certain areas, and I have to say that they are paying dividends! Literally! LOL!
However, I have a word of caution as well; one mistake I made early on last year was I purchased two fairly large courses together, and it just becomes a sheer mountain to climb trying to get through all the information. With hindsight, your vision is clear, nowadays, I purchase one course, work through it as quickly as I can and apply as much of it as possible as quickly as possible and only when I am seeing results and the information has embedded itself, will I consider purchasing anything else!
Keep moving forward.
