This is going to be probably the shortest blog post, I’ve had an incredible day today, but my commitment for this year is to blog and teach you something at least 5 days so here goes. So today’s post is about how to get more out of your time, your MOST precious asset.
Here is the trick (MLMers pay attention):
If you have a project, a task, something you want to finish SET A TIME LIMIT FOR YOURSELF!
I am not too sure why this works, but it does. If you want to do 10 phone calls, set a deadline of 15 minutes. If you want to write a blog post, make a list, review your goals, read a book, prepare for a training… always set a time limit for yourself.
For some reason when I do that, I really tend to block out everything and really focus on what I am doing. My efficiency increases, I manage my time better and finish my task on time.
Anyways, try it for yourself and see.
To Your Success,

Hi John,
very timely post.. managing my time lately has been something that I have become aware I am not good at. I am always running late, and not completing tasks effectively.
May I offer a resource that I have discovered.. that covers some really useful tips on being productive.. its a 30min conversation by the author of a book called 18 Minutes.. find your Focus, Master Distraction.
or you can just skip to a post I wrote containing all the tips..

Love this John. They say you get more done when you don’t multi-task too. Now if I could only shorten my activities each day. I need to put this post into action.
Thanks,
Val
