The Innergize Method™ 8-Part Series: Introduction

InfographicBeing an entrepreneur and running your own business is not necessarily easy. In fact, most people who start a business fail in the first year, according to several reports. Many of the remaining struggle to go full-time. And a lot of those who have a consistent revenue coming, are almost slaves to their business.

Whether you already have a business that is generating a consistent revenue or you’re struggling to go full time, you face one or more of these challenges:

  • Your business doesn’t function if you’re not present;
  • Your business is tied to a certain geographic location;
  • You don’t necessarily enjoy what you do (chose the wrong business);
  • You lack the cash flow/resources to grow;
  • You work hard and see little results;
  • The business takes the majority of your time;
  • You feel exhausted at the end of the day;
  • You’re not sure what to do to grow your business;
  • You’re not sure how to invest your money and time (ie: hire a coach, attend marketing webinar, etc…);

In addition, there are other demands that require your attention and energy. You have to take care of your health and family. Maybe you have some hobbies you want to enjoy, including hanging out with friends and attending social events. There’s also spiritual/ethical commitments, and of course some time for yourself.

To be honest, that’s a lot to handle, but it can be done very effectively.

Most Entrepreneurs Drop The Ball

drop-the-ballMost entrepreneurs eventually let the ball drop on in one or more areas because they don’t know how to proactively handle the situation and feel overwhelmed. When this happens, there’s ALWAYS a price to pay, whether it’s health, losing touch with friends, or not having time for yourself. Typically things get dropped to put more time into the business in an effort to grow it.

If that’s you, eventually, over a period of time, you’ll build up some resentment, anger, and possibly anxiety. Why? Because you’re really not expressing who you are as a person and you’re not spending time on the things that you most enjoy. You’ve probably experienced this already.

What most entrepreneurs don’t understand, is that every single area of your life, affects the other, whether consciously or subconsciously. Which means, if you want ultimate success and freedom in your business and not to worry about money ever again, becoming skillful in balancing your life is key to your success.

Generally, the first thing that entrepreneurs drop the ball on is their health. They stop exercising, they don’t pay attention to what they eat, and they “jug” a lot of coffee. What they don’t know is that this impacts their creativity, focus, and emotional balance (along with many other things), which is critical to making smart business decisions.

They think by devoting more time to their business and ignoring their health, they’ll have a better quality of life. I’m here to tell you that is not necessarily the case. In fact, it’s not because if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.

This is only one example.

I’ve Been Through This

head-shot-medium-smallI know all this because I’ve been through it. I’ve had times where I’ve dropped everything and desperately tried to grow my business. The only thing I received in return was anger and a WHOLE LOT of anxiety. It drained me. I’ve also been in a place where I had little cash flow/resources to grow my business and faced many of the tribulations that nearly every entrepreneur comes across… but I came on top.

In summary, I spent countless hours devouring personal and business growth material and a small fortune on coaches. It was worth every single cent. After tremendous frustration, finally, things started to change. In fact, I’ve had surreal experiences that I couldn’t have even imagined.

And after being able to dramatically impact my business and life, as well as the life of other people and entrepreneurs, I decided that I need to share this knowledge with other business owners who are looking for to grow their business and change their life.
